choir comprises about a dozen people who love to sing, some of whom are able to read music (this is definitely a plus but not a requirement).
are not robed and do not sit regularly in traditional choir pews at the front of the church. We rather see ourselves as singing members
of the congregation and we move into position when we have a song ready to offer.
The choir sings in four part harmony; Soprano, Alto,
Tenor and Bass, and enjoys working hard to provide a product that is as musically sound as we can make it.
The choir does not consider
itself a "performance group", rather it offers seasonal and other musical contributions during services to enhance, and hopefully
to enrich, the worship experinece of the congregation as a whole.
Rehearsals are light and peppered with laughter, but choral techniques
are learned, valued and practised as far as we are able.
We honour each others' time and effort by respecting the need for regular
attendance at rehearsals and so ensure that progress is an onward reality.
New members are always welcome!
